Exporting biodiesel and oleochemicals from Argentina to the European Union covers 21 lines of the Combined Nomenclature 2026. Under the EU-Mercosur Agreement, 13 enter duty-free today and 8 are being phased out (the last ones reach zero on 1 January 2036). 7 lines are also subject to trade defence the agreement does not reduce (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/835). Data as of 30 October 2026, from the EU-Mercosur Interim Trade Agreement and the Combined Nomenclature 2026.

The duty under the agreement
What each line pays today to enter the European Union from Argentina under the agreement, counted line by line with the same calculation as its sheet.
- 1line enters duty-free with or without the agreement
- 12lines enter duty-free thanks to the agreement
- 8lines pay less and go down year by year
On top of that, 7 lines are subject to trade defence the agreement does not reduce. What is paid and how to avoid it.
When they reach zero
The lines that do not enter duty-free in every case (they pay something, the figure depends on composition or the entry price, or the reduction applies only within a quota), by the year the schedule takes the duty under the agreement to zero.

On top of the duty, trade defence
The agreement lowers the customs duty. What follows is something else, trade defence measures the EU charges separately to protect its industry (here, from imports the Commission found to be subsidised or dumped). The agreement does not remove them, they are paid on top of the duty, with or without the preference.
How anti-dumping and countervailing duties are charged. The rate depends on the producing company, and the individual one applies only if the invoice carries the declaration the regulation requires; otherwise, the rate for all other companies. Sales by companies with a price undertaking accepted by the Commission enter exempt, with the undertaking invoice and certificate.
- A countervailing duty of between 25% and 33.4% depending on the company (33.4% for all other companies) (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/835). Covers 7 lines (1516 20 98 part of the line, 1518 00 91 part of the line, 1518 00 95 part of the line, 1518 00 99 part of the line, 3824 99 92 part of the line, 3826 00 10, 3826 00 90 part of the line).
The sheet of each line says how much is paid, which subdivision it applies to, how to avoid it when there is a quota and how to add it to the figures.
Tariff-rate quotas
No line of this sector has a quota of the agreement for Argentina. Each reduction applies to any quantity.
